Scholarship

A scholarship is important to help you pay for your college education. A scholarship is free and its something you do not have to pay back. It is important because first any scholarship is free and you do not have to pay for it. Second is that since a scholarship is free  then that means you do not have to pay it back from where ever you get it. It sounds like stealing money but your stealing money in a good way and for a good cause. Your college education can get quite expensive and by stacking up scholarships you would not have to worry as much to pay all that money back. The only thing you have to do is put in your time and maybe feel out a essay in order to receive a scholarship. Scholarships aren't hard to get and why not its free money to help you make more money in the future.

College Checklist

I recently went to Howard Payne and received my school Id and also received my schedule. Before I did this me and my family had to finalize all the finical aid and fasfa money and send that in. We also had to take visits down there to get a tour and get to know more about the college and also to do paper work. I am also going to play football so one of the visits we got to chill with the coaches and they treated us to lunch and talked about there program and what they got going. Thats about it i cant think of anything else we had to do.

Degree

A college degree is well worth the wait and worth the money at the time. College is like investing your money so later on you can have a lot more. College is expensive but in time it will pay off rather than not going to college. Social success would be different because you will find someone that is perfect for you and find someone who will make you become better. I would also chill with people who push each other rather than just settling for less. It will also lead to more money, a better family, and a happy life. Also you would be more intelligent if you were to go to college and be able to teach your kids some smart stuff. College is a smart investment and I would encourage anyone to go to college and tell them they are investing there money in a very smart way. One last thing girls wouldn't want no one broke, they want the man with all the money.

The U.S. school system is the best school system when compared to others. When compared to Mexico's education we have a lot more opportunities in life and to become something. They said the the government in Mexico gives the teachers too much money and doesn't invest enough into the kids themselves. In the U.S we are privileged to have all this technology and advanced equipment to help us learn. Also I learned that in Mexico they lack on mathematics, science, and also reading. These subjects are key and very important in the U.S. school system so that is a advantage we have. The U.S. gives way more opportunity to the kids rather than what Mexico gives to there kids. If I were to rate the U.S. school system on a scale 1 to 10 I would give it a solid 10. If I were to rate Mexico's school system I would give it a 5. Also in the USA a lot of kids go off to college and in Mexico only the smart and wealthy go to college. Statistics say only 90% go to elementary school, then drops to only 64% attend middle school, and only a quarter pass onto high school or higher education.  

Spring Break

I really didn't do anything fun over spring break. I helped my parents work on their room. I went to chipotle and ate and I also went shopping one day and it was kind of cool buying some clothes and stuff.  I also saw coach thrush and it was awkward.  I chilled at home and chilled with my girlfriend alot. I played soccer too we had a game and barely lost 1 to 0 in last final minutes of the game. Other than that I just chilled and rested, being away from school was all I needed. I had also preaches this past Sunday so during the week I had to study my sermon. I really cant think of anything else off the top of my head. Thats my my spring break so yea.

Questions

The most influential person in my life I would say hands down my mother. My mother didn't read poems to me but she was there threw the thick and thin. Thats is who and why

Poetry is dumb to me and I personally do not read it. Poetry is dumb because I can come up with poetry and when your going threw hard times, poetry is not the answer. Most poets are atheist for example Langston Hughes and atheist do not have eternal peace so they tend to question everything because deep down they fear and dont have the answer to our existence.

Like again I personally think there is a yes or no there is no gray area. It's either black or white and nothing in between so thats how I view things. I dont try and dig for no other answer, the only answer is yes or no.

I dont care about what I leave behind. I dont save up my treasure here on earth where moth and rust collects and where thieves break in and steal but I store up my treasure in Heaven where it is safe and secure and where thieves cant steal and where dust and rust do not collect and there my heart will be also.

1. Would Neil still have committed suicide if Mr. Keating had never come into his life? Consider multiple perspectives here as you draft your group response.
No, if Mr. Keating would of never been in Neil's life then Neil would have never committed suicide. Mr. Keating taught the kids to be there selves no matter what others think and that is exactly what Neil did but his dad didn't like that.
2. Who was really the bravest of Keating’s boys? Who was a coward? Be explicit and support your answers.
The Bravest was Newanda because he was doing the most like when he pooled that phone prank. The coward is the orange hair kid because he just snitched on everyone and everything they did.
3. How did the poetry book make it into Neil’s room? (Did Keating put it there?) And if so, why, after telling the boys that the present administration would not look favorably on it, would Keating do that?
I believe Mr. Keating put it there as bait trying to get the boys get bite on to it and it worked. The boys especially Neil took  it and ran with it. Being an example by telling them that people arent going to approve of it but as long as you love it then that is all that matters.

Dead Poetsssss

This movie displays many types of themes if you ask me. The one that sticks out to me is that stand up for what you believe in. This movie shows and demonstrates how stuff was ran back then and how people viewed certain things. This movie shows that the kids just go to school then right after school they become doctors or whatever it might be. The problem with this is that this wasn't the kids passion and this inst what they wanted for themselves. For example, Neil wanted to act but his dad put him in the school so he could be a doctor or something, but when really Neil wanted to act. Then Neil went on to act when his dad told him not to and Neil had got in real trouble by his parents. Then long story short Neil ended up killing himself because he was too scared to stand up for what he believed in. During his time Mr Keeting was responsible for the suicide and had gotten in trouble for basically telling a kid to follow his dreams and do for himself rather than for other people. Mr Keeting just taught to be yourself and it doesn't matter what other people think about you, what matters is your opinion.

Questions

1. Neil was all in for it and looked like he was finally doing stuff for his own benefit until he killed himself .

2.Mr Keatington because he risked everything and stuck with it and ended up loosing his job because it.

3. Mr. Keating was a man that stood for what he believed and expressed that to others and he wasn't changed cause if he was he would of still had his job.

4. All the boys had there own problems such as being whipped, parents, and just trying to be themselves when at the time society didn't except that. The only person that failed was Neil because he didn't stand up for what he believes in. All the other boys failed until at the end when they all stood on the desk and gave there farewells to the teacher. The only person that really stayed trued and overcame his hfear you can say was Mr. Keating.

Mona Lisa Smile

Roles of women back then were totally different then what they are now. Like back then they had a standard to live up to and if they didn't they would be a dis grace. Also the women back then were just supposed to be house wives and that's it. They couldn't be anything else or strive for there dreams. Also the wives had to stay with there husbands even though they were cheating on them. Also the women back then were like there husbands slaves, like what ever the husband says then that's it and the women have no say so. These days women are free and can do whatever they like to. Also there are allot of gay women and back then I believe that was unheard of.

The relationships in the movie were crazy. The problem was that every relationship was trying to stay traditional and it just wasn't working. Until Cat came in and basically taught that you can be yourself and who cares what people think about you. Also there was that gay nurse and back then that was unacceptable and they like despised of her. The accepted relationships was a woman staying g with her husband and caring for him even if he was cheating on her. Also every one was shady and you couldn't even have a real relationship. Like all the relationships were fake and really they were forced. The relationships that they had was because of what the world thought it ought to be and it was just a mess and still is till this day. WE ARE IN THE END TIMES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mona Lisa Vs Charles Dickens

I don't quite agree with Charles Dickens way of teaching. All facts are is pride of ones self gain in a summary. If we didn't have facts then we wouldn't know about people accomplishments or anything. For example, if we didn't keep facts of how many super bowls were won and by who we wouldn't know who is the best team of all time. So ask your self what does that have anything to do with you. Facts don't help anything, but getting to know someone is so much special. We all have hearts that are beautiful in different ways and for a teacher to try to find that is good. I would pick that teacher time and time over again. Facts don't personally mean anything to me except the facts in the bible. Thanks for reading!

Mona Lisa Smile Theme

Mona Smile is a good movie. I liked how it showed all these girls that thought they were bad until something bad happened to the and broke them apart like a puzzle. Mona Lisa was there leader and trying to help them solve there own puzzle rather than try to fit in or do what everyone else wanted for them.

I liked this movie a lot it was really good. The theme is that all these girls life was planned out and everything was just perfect. Until something bad happened to them and hey started realizing what was best for them and not best for what people thought it ought to be. These girls all tried to act hard and were hardheaded and soon realized they are just alike and they should help each other rather than hate on each other.

Foreshadowing

This movie just looks like a chick flick. It looks like the teacher isn't friends with the girls but at the end they all become friends and what not. Also it looks like a happy ending and everything is just perfect. Butttttt like all movies there is a problem and the problem will get fixed at the end of the movie and everything will be perfect. Other than that really cant think of what else this movie will be about. Also kind of looks like a comedy like its going to be funny.

High School Vs College

Like we are riding a bike with training wheels and in college it's time for us to take the training wheels off and ride the bike for ourselves. Right now in high school it's easy because everything in mandatory but in college we can do what we want. College is time for us to become responsible and learn on our own rather than having a teacher there always reminding you stuff. In high school the teachers always remind you about assignments or test but in college the teachers could care less about if you do your work or not. Also in college you have to study a lot more and that is how you learn what ever the teacher is teaching you. High school and college is going to be a huge difference but I'm going to handle it just fine.
